Get Started!

The plan is simple, don't break the chain.

Get yourself a calendar and every day you do some sort of physical fitness and when you do, you cross off that day. Do this every single day and you create a chain of days, now don't break the chain!

That's the plan for Get Fit Mama, we create a new habit of tending to our bodies daily. We do this for 3 months and this will get us into the habit and it will become our new normal, just another thing we do like washing the dishes and brushing our teeth, we workout our body.


Do some form of physical fitness every day. Aim for 3 days of cardio, 3 days of strength and stretch every day. On days you're just too tired, simply do 10 minutes of stretching, anyone can do that!
Just don't break the chain! 


Fuel your body with good food. Aim to eat foods high in fibre, lean proteins, whole grains, legumes and lot's of plants cannabis is a plant 😉 and healthy fats like olive oil. Limit your intake of sugar, fried foods and simple carbs like pastries and white bread. 


Meditation is like stretching out the brain. Meditate every single day, even just for 5 minutes, anyone can do that! Whether you use a guided meditation or take a meditative stroll through a park, just do something to quite your mind.

*If you're sick or injured, pause the program. Start again when you're back on your feet.

How to stay on track

This is the heart of Get Fit Mama, we support each other. Anytime you feel as though you're getting derailed, reach out to the community and we'll help you get back on track. The community is connected through signing up for the program. This is how I'll be able to communicate with everyone, only those signed up will get all of the links and materials for the program, so make sure you've signed up!

Get scheduled
Pick a time during the day when you know you'll have time to dedicate to fitness and set a reminder on your phone so you don't forget. Being scheduled is the way to be successful in starting a new habit. We brush our teeth at the same times during the day, we eat at usually the same time, so pick a time that's ideal and don't break the chain!

Reasonable Goals
You need to pick a workout routine/goal that makes sense for you. Don't feel bad if you're starting from zero (I am!) just do something that fits your lifestyle and physical ability.
You don't have to go to the gym, there's tons of cardio options like: speed walking with the stroller, run up and down the stairs, jog around the block, go for a bike ride, jumping jacks, running on the spot, burpees, jump rope, hula hoop, even an hour of vigorous housework is cardio.

Make it fun!
Better yet, do some sativa, crank up the tunes (on headphones if you need to) and just dance to your favourite songs for 20 mintues. Go wild, pretend your Beyonce and work up a sweat, noone can see you. Who says exercise can't be fun! Maybe if you're very brave you'll upload a clip to Instagram of Facebook, inspire us!
